UI VC Gives Reasons for the Compulsory Technology Levy for all Undergraduates.
The announcement of the unexpected imposed compulsory Technology Levy on all undergraduate students of all levels by the authorities of the institution have left many students bewildered and irate.
While reacting to the addition of the compulsory Technology Levy on all students, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan (UI), Prof Abel Idowu Olayinka, defended the motives surrounding the levy.

In a WhatsApp conversation with the Press of the Association of Faculty of Arts Students (AFAS), the VC divulged that the imposed compulsory Technology Levy is to be utilized to provide robust internet services for students.
He, Prof. Idowu, said that the new levy will cover the expenses of providing fast, reliable and robust internet services for students, and will require a whole lot in terms of funds.
