UI Rusticates 16 Students, Expels 5 Others (SEE NAMES)
A total number of 22 erring students of the University of Ibadan, UI, belonging to different departments of the institution have been meted various punishments by the authorities.
Of the total erring 22, 16 students have been rusticated and other five students have been expelled from the Prestigious University on the grounds of examination misconduct and impersonation.
In accordance with a Special Bulletin 4220 which was signed by Olubunmi O. Faluyi, the Registrar of the University, the decision taken by the Central Student Disciplinary Committee, CSDC against the erring students took place at the Thursday, May 9, 2019 meeting.
Six regular students from the Department of Archaeology & Anthropology were rusticated for two semesters for gross misconduct: David O. Gabriel, 185843, Akinboade Adesomoju, 184008, Olalekan S. Adejumo, 190213; Opeoluwa Oloundare, 184331, Opeyemi Abon, 183966 and Temidayo D. Orimoloye, 184354.
From the Distance Learning Centre, DLC, Saheed Ademola Oshodi, Olufemi Olusegun Ogunwo, Kehinde Samuel Aluko, Yetunde Mary Agbanigo and Ajuwon Gabriel were expelled.
On the grounds of impersonation and examination misconduct, ten students of Distance Learning Centre, DLC, altogether from the Department of Economics, Social Work, Political Science, Guidance & Counselling and Communication and Language Arts were rusticated for two semesters.
