Oyo State Governor-elect, Engineer Seyi Makinde Donates 25 million Cheque to UI for Rain Damages.
Engineer Seyi Makinde the Oyo State Governor-elect, on Friday 15th March, 2019, donated a cheque of 25 million (twenty-five million) naira to the University of Ibadan.
The 25 million naira cheque donated by the benevolent Oyo State Governor-elect was welcomed as his offering towards reparations of damaged structures by the recent rainfall that came with thunderstorms.
The Oyo State Governor-elect handed the cheque to the Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Abel Idowu Olayinka, when he made a courtesy visit to the University.

In accordance with the Governor-elect, the cheque, apart for the donation, was a token of appreciation to the entire University community for the overwhelming support that he received from all participants in the election process.
He expressed his happiness as his acceptance in the school was evident when he won at all the polling units in the school.
